Hey, I’m Damien — aka DamoBird365 👋

I’m a Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft based in Aberdeen, Scotland, specialising in Agentic AI, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Azure AI. I help enterprise customers transform their businesses through automation and intelligent solutions across the no-code to pro-code spectrum.

I’ve been working in ICT since 2001 — from leading SharePoint and Microsoft Teams rollouts to delivering AI-driven automation solutions across sectors. Power Automate is where I like to be the most.

My Health Journey

In April 2020, while out cycling alone, I suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. I’m one of the lucky ones — only around 1 in 10 survive a sudden cardiac arrest in the UK.

I was diagnosed with Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC), a rare genetic heart condition where the heart muscle is replaced by fatty and fibrous tissue. I had an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) fitted as my safety net, which was later replaced with a subcutaneous ICD (S-ICD) in 2023 after complications including AV Block.

That experience changed everything. I turned my passion for sports into a passion for the Power Platform community — and I haven’t looked back. You can read more about my journey in my personal posts:

My Career at Microsoft

As a Cloud Solution Architect, I work directly with customers to design and implement solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot, and Azure AI. Before joining Microsoft, I spent years as an IT professional delivering SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 projects.

I’m a former Microsoft Business Applications MVP (2022) and Power Automate Super User, recognised for my community contributions through blogging, YouTube content, and public speaking.
